The conference will stand at the Industrial Engineering school of Grenoble Institute of Technology. Grenoble (France) is the main town in the french Alps, well kown for research and university (60,000 students), microelectronic (ST Crolles) and electromechanical industries, ski and winter resorts.

The purpose of the 42nd CIRP Conference on Manufacturing Systems is :
  • To stimulate technical and scientific discussions on manufacturing systems and their implications to industry
  • To provide an international platform for the exchange of the latest ideas and developments on manufacturing systems
  • To act as a driver for new research themes and international networking
